Obtaining a Residence Permit in Turkey<\/h2>

A residence permit is an official document that allows foreigners to stay in Turkey legally for a certain period of time.     • Having health insurance in Turkey<\/li><\/ul>

      Family Residence Permit<\/h3>

      A family residence permit is a type of residence permit that can be obtained for the family members of a Turkish citizen or a foreigner with a legal residence permit in Turkey<\/strong>. This type of permit covers spouse, children and dependent family members<\/strong>. <\/p>

      In order to apply for a student residence permit, a person must be enrolled in an educational institution and have valid health insurance for the duration of their studies<\/strong>. The student residence permit is valid for the duration of study and must be renewed at the end of each academic year. <\/p>

      Long Term Residence Permit<\/h3>

      Long-term residence permit is issued to foreigners who have at least 8 years of uninterrupted residence in Turkey<\/strong>. This type of permit is one of the most advantageous residence permits as it grants indefinite residence rights<\/strong>. <\/p>

      The following conditions are required to obtain a long-term residence permit:<\/p>

      • At least 8 years of uninterrupted residence permit<\/strong><\/li>
      • Not having received state aid for the last 3 years<\/li>
      • Having a regular and sufficient source of income<\/li>
      • Not pose a risk to public order and security<\/li><\/ul>

        Long-term residence permits are indefinite<\/strong>, but can be revoked if certain conditions are not met.<\/p>

        Humanitarian Residence Permit<\/h3>

        A humanitarian residence permit is a special type of residence permit issued to foreigners who have to stay in Turkey for compelling reasons<\/strong>. This permit is usually issued for the following situations: <\/p>
